What you will be doing as a Group Controller
The role of group controller is one with tasks on two ends of the spectrum, on one hand you will be operating on Group level where you will be dealing with the consolidation, external reporting, transfer pricing, group statuaries etc. On the other hand you can find yourself helping out entities on a local level with their monthly business reviews, budget or compliance. Alongside you will be tasked with a number of improvement activities at Group or together with operating companies.
Jointly with the Group Finance team your responsibilities entail in a nutshell:
- Coordinating the monthly and yearly closings and year end audit;
- Consolidation, external reporting and statutory accounts of the Group;
- An effective internal control environment, including site visits at operating companies and compliance with the accounting manual;
- External audits;
- Accounting for some smaller entities;
- Further standardization of Ecorys finance processes;
- Execution of improvement initiatives (like ESG reporting or process automation);
- Expanding the benefits of the newly implemented ERP system.
You work closely together in a compact and driven team of financials in which you support each other and learn from each other.
Who are you?
We are looking for a well-organized and detail oriented Group controller with a helicopter view and hands-on mentality. You are also a team player and enjoy working in close cooperation with colleagues from other offices and departments. Furthermore, it would be desirable that you understand how cash is generated in a project based business and that you have gained international experience. Also, in the ideal candidate we are looking for:
- A university degree;
- 5+ years of relevant work experience;
- Good knowledge of Dutch GAAP;
- Fluency in English and Dutch.

This role is preferably for 40 hours, however 32 hours is also negotiable.
